Bitumen World is a leading and reputable contracting company based in Zimbabwe. Ever since we opened for business, we’ve taken a comprehensive approach to project management, providing our clients with more than bituminous products, hot asphalt mix and road rehabilitation. We are in the business of infrastructure development, road safety, creating a convenient commute and ensuring an enjoyable journey for all road users.
Bitumen World (Pvt) Ltd, was incorporated in Bulawayo in July of 2012 and opened its doors for business in Harare on the 1st of September 2012.
Introduction
From humble beginnings, the company has evolved into a leading Civil Engineering Construction business in Zimbabwe. Whilst specialising in the construction of roads and related structures, Bitumen World has over the course of its existence and in response to Customer demand progressively developed capabilities in almost all aspects of civil, building and bulk earth works and mining support services. Bitumen World’s ability to diversify and grow its activities has been made possible through visionary and strategic planning by The Board and the ability of the Company’s highly qualified and vastly experienced Management Team and Personnel working at all levels throughout the organization and their dedication to the delivery of a consistently high quality service to Bitumen World’s precious Customers.

Mine Development & Operations
Construction of Infrastructure has become core business for Bitumen World. This speaks to the construction of new or rehabilitation of roads (both national and secondary routes), the development of urban infrastructure, bulk earthworks, the construction of concrete structures and buildings.
With the company having started out as a surfacing specialist this ability and capacity remains essential. This capacity supports both surfacing centric contracts (large and small) and the construction or rehabilitation of roads type projects.
As part of ensuring delivery on projects and for generating additional revenue through external sales, a select range of products are produced in-house. These products include both hot and cold asphalt, crushed aggregate and pre-cast units.
As mining is a significant sector in the Southern African region we offer clients both the service of mining site infrastructure development and construction, as well as contract mining solutions which include drill and blast, load and haul and rehabilitation of mined out areas.
